Zoopla ends West Bromwich Albion agreement

Zoopla reveals that it will not be sponsoring Premier League side West Bromwich Albion next season.

Property website Zoopla has announced that it will cease its agreement as the main sponsor of West Bromwich Albion at the end of the season.

The company has been reviewing its position over the last few weeks in the wake of Nicolas Anelka's celebration against West Ham United, in which he produced what is allegedly an anti-Semitic 'quenelle' gesture.

"In recent weeks we have decided to reevaluate this sponsorship and as a result we will focus our attention on other marketing activities from the end of the season," said Zoopla's head of communications Lawrence Hall.

Zoopla is part-owned by Jewish businessman Alex Chesterman.
