Markus Rosenberg donates belongings to charity

Former West Bromwich Albion striker Markus Rosenberg donates the entire contents of his house to a local charity ahead of his move back to Sweden.

Markus Rosenberg has donated the entire contents of his house to a charity shop in Birmingham.

The striker had his West Bromwich Albion contract terminated by mutual consent last month, before signing for Swedish side Malmo.

Tracey Evans, who is the stock generator for the Sue Ryder chain of charity shops, told the Daily Mail: "I wasn't a West Brom fan before, but I am now! When we had finished there were just the beds left for them to sleep in.

"They even offered us a 20 foot trampoline in the back garden, but we had nowhere to put it. It is all good stuff, a lot of the furniture is minimalistic. We really are so grateful because we are so desperate for furniture.

"As a charity, we have to sell items at a low price, but we expect the donation to fetch around £3,500. He and his wife were wonderful. I think it is really nice that he thought about our charity."

The items donated include a West Brom tracksuit, a garden table with six chairs and a dolls house.

The 31-year-old featured in 24 league games during his time with the Baggies, but failed to find the back of the net.
