The BOA seal partnership with supermarket Aldi for Rio 2016

The British Olympic Association announce that supermarket chain Aldi has become one of its partners for Rio 2016.

The British Olympic Association has announced that Team GB's athletes will be supported by supermarket Aldi in the run-up to and during Rio 2016.

The Germany-based supermarket has become Team GB's official partner after spending 25 years in the UK and will provide a number of programmes including Get Set and Home-Grown Heroes.

BOA chairman Lord Sebastian Coe said: "Everyone associated with Team GB is thrilled to have a partner which has so captured the imagination of the British public.

"They are a great and growing British employer and are championing British produce and suppliers. Their support is a huge boost in our efforts to get the nation inspired in the run up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games."

The BOA also has partnerships with Nissan, Deloitte and DFS.
