Hannah Cockroft is "not bothered" by accusations that she is in the wrong classification.

Paralympic double-gold medallist Hannah Cockroft has said that she is "not bothered" by accusations that she is in the wrong classification.

The 20-year-old, who won gold in the 100m and 200m, is classified in T34 - the classification for athletes in wheelchairs with cerebral palsy.

Her dominance of her two events has led to claims that she is less disabled than the rest of her classification, but Cockroft has brushed off these remarks.

"I used to get a lot of comments saying I was a cheat and a fake but I have all the doctors' notes proving I am in the right class," Cockroft told The Telegraph.

"There are so many athletes winning by massive amounts here. It is either they're training harder or they've overcome their disability in a different way. There's no real answer to it. I'm not really bothered by the comments any more. Whatever. I've got two gold medals."

Cockroft has had two postboxes in Halifax painted gold and is included on two first-class stamps.
