The success of the London 2012 Games is reportedly behind the increase in the feel-good factor of Brits last year.
Team GB stars Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Greg Rutherford, who all won gold in their respective events, are said to have made Britain happier in 2012.
A study from the Office For National Statistics has shown that the number of people claiming that their well-being was seven out of 10 rose from 75% to 77% last year, according to the Daily Star.
The ONS has also suggested that the Diamond Jubilee contributed to the rise.
