Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has reportedly been arrested for breaching his bail conditions in the North-East city.
The controversial forward was ordered in August by magistrates to stay out of the Northumbria Police force's area after he was charged with the alleged rape of a women in a hotel.
Ranger is said to have been arrested by officers at 2.30am this morning outside of Tup Tup Palace Nightclub on St Nicholas Street in the city.
According to the Chronicle, a police spokesperson said: "A 22-year-old male was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning on suspicion of breach of bail conditions and is currently in police custody helping police with enquiries."
Ranger now plays for Swindon Town after leaving the Magpies by mutual consent in March last year.
