Sunderland winger James McClean has reportedly given his club shirt from the weekend to a cancer charity.
The Northern Irishman sparked controversy after he refused to wear a special edition Black Cats top with a poppy emblem to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
It is understood that despite deciding against donning the symbol, McClean has donated the shirt to a worthy cause, according to The Express.
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni supported McClean's decision to snub the poppy.
