Stoke City keeper Jack Butland donates £5,000 to GB Women's Deaf Football team

Stoke City keeper Jack Butland donates £5,000 to Great Britain's Women's Deaf Football team to help send them to the 2016 Deaf World Cup in Italy.

Jack Butland has donated £5,000 to Great Britain's Women's Deaf Football team to help send them to the 2016 Deaf World Cup in Italy.

In a tweet, GB Deaf Football said that they were "in shock" after receiving the donation from Butland, which is half of their £10,000 target.

Butland responded with a tweet of his own, saying: "I've learnt a lot from major tournaments, experiences I'll never forget, I'd love for you to experience the same! 🙏"

The team is now less than £1,000 away from reaching their target with 13 days of their funding window remaining.
