Romania scrum-half Florin Surugiu proposed to his girlfriend on the Wembley pitch just moments after his nation were beaten by Ireland in the Rugby World Cup on Sunday.
Following Romania's 44-10 defeat in London, Surugiu dropped down to one knee to propose to his partner Alexandria, who said yes.
The majority of the 89,267-strong crowd had filtered out of the stadium, but Surugiu's teammates were present to celebrate with the couple.
Romania coach Lynn Howells jokingly told reporters: "I tried to advise him not to. She said yes. It's probably too romantic for me but I'm sure for her it was very romantic and she enjoyed every minute."
With regards to matters on the field, Romania are currently at the bottom of Pool D after losing their first two matches.
