Two fans have been stabbed during clashes between supporters of Lazio and Roma ahead of the Rome derby this evening.

Groups clashed in the city as well outside the Stadio Olimpico as police in riot gear were forced to take action.

The mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno, revealed that businesses in the surrounding area of the city had been forced to close due to the violence.

Last year supporters from Tottenham Hotspur were injured in attacks before their Europa League match with Lazio.
