Thierry Henry 'could earn £8,000 per show as football pundit'

Thierry Henry could reportedly demand £8,000 per show as a football pundit once his playing career comes to an end.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry could reportedly rake in around £8,000 per show for appearing as a football pundit once his career in the MLS comes to an end.

The Frenchman, who will begin his final season in the MLS for the New York Red Bulls in March, is due to be part of the BBC panel for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Due to Sky and BT Sport vying for his services, Henry could demand in excess of the £8,000 per show contract that Alan Shearer has with the BBC's Match of the Day programme, according to the Daily Mail.

BT are believed to be interested in the striker for their Champions League coverage, which begins in 2015, while Sky could be looking to Henry as a potential replacement for Gary Neville, should the ex-Manchester United star opt to focus on coaching.
