Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo breaks a young Bournemouth fan's wrist with a wayward free kick.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo left one young Bournemouth supporter needing hospital treatment following the exhibition match at the Goldsands Stadium.

Eleven-year-old Charlie Silverwood suffered a double fracture when the former Ballon d'Or winner's free kick missed the target and soared behind the net during Madrid's 6-0 win over the Cherries on Sunday.

"It's one of the most spectacular ways you can get your arm broken," Charlie told Sky News.

"I'd have to say I'd prefer doing it this way then just falling out of a tree like my dad did it.

"You wouldn't expect this to happen to anybody. If I hadn't put my left hand up, took the brunt of the force on my palm, I'd have ended up with no front teeth."

Following his trip to hospital, Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher presented the schoolboy with a signed Madrid shirt.
