Kick It Out reveals reports of discrimination in football have increased

Anti-discrimination organisation Kick It Our reveals that reports of discrimination in football have risen over the last year.

Kick It Out has announced that reports of discrimination in football have risen over the last year.

The anti-discrimination body collected data from the professional and grassroots levels of football and has claimed that 184 reports were sent from August to December 28, 2014.

Comparing figures from the previous year, 48 more reports were made in 2014, with racism the most common with 117 grievances.

Thirty-two cases of anti-Semitic abuse were also reported to the organisation, as well as 13 cases of sexism, which is 11 more than those submitted in the previous season.

In addition, abuse relating to sexual orientation has increased from five to 15, according to Kick It Out, who received complaints from incidents that occurred during matches and via social media.
