Serie A side Parma have marked their centenary by presenting their opponents with vacuum cleaners.

Ahead of their game against Fiorentina earlier this week, the team gave each of the visiting players the appliance, manufactured by shirt sponsors Volwerk.

"It is an unusual way to celebrate the first century of our team, we are sure," The Metro quotes chief executive Pietro Leonardi as saying.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
