Norwich City suspend two male fans over allegations of racism

Norwich City confirm that two male supporters have been suspended amid allegations of racist behaviour during Sunday's defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Norwich City have confirmed that two male supporters have been suspended by the club amid allegations of racism during last weekend's Championship opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Canaries launched an investigation into the alleged racist behaviour from away fans at Molineux following Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Wolves.

The club released a statement today saying: "Norwich City can confirm two male supporters have been suspended from attending games at Carrow Road, pending the outcome of the club's ongoing investigation into allegations of racist abuse at last Sunday's Sky Bet Championship game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

"As previously reported the club has received numerous complaints from Norwich supporters who were at the match and we would like to thank all of those who have come forward to provide detailed eyewitness accounts of the incident.

"If, as a result of our investigation, the club is satisfied any individuals are guilty of racist behaviour, we will issue them with lifetime bans from attending games at Carrow Road. We have passed our evidence on to police, who are also investigating the matter."

Neil Adams's side were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
