Beth Tweddle: 'I made a dent in my Olympic bronze medal'

Beth Tweddle reveals that she made a dent in her Olympic bronze medal after accidentally dropping it.

Former gymnast Beth Tweddle has revealed that she accidentally made a dent in her Olympic bronze medal.

The 28-year-old, who announced her retirement from the sport earlier this week, secured a bronze medal for Great Britain in the uneven bars at London 2012.

Tweddle has explained that since clinching the medal, she has been able to show it off to young gymnastic hopefuls to inspire them in the sport.

"I've even dropped [the medal] myself, it's got a dent in it!" Tweddle told the Daily Star. "And whenever the kids are wearing it, I've always got a hold of it at the back."

Tweddle ends her career with six gold European Championship medals and three World Championship golds.
