A gym in Lance Armstrong's hometown of Austin, Texas removes his name from their brand after the US cyclist was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles following damning evidence of doping.

A gym in Austin, Texas has removed disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong's name from their brand following revelations of the American's doping past.

The 41-year-old has been stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles after the United States Anti-Doping Agency released a report providing evidence of years of drug-taking to improve the cyclist's performance at the height of his career.

Following the revelations, several sponsors have cut ties with Armstrong and now a gym in his hometown have decided to remove themselves from his damaged image.

The gym, which was previously named '24 Hour Fitness/Lance Armstrong Sport', released a statement via KVUE.com, which said: "Given the evidence surrounding Lance Armstrong's alleged actions [our] business relationship with Armstrong no longer aligns with [the] company's mission and values."

Armstrong has also been banned from cycling competitively for life.
