Sky announce a new three-year contract to broadcast over 60 live NFL games per season, including the annual Super Bowl showpiece.

Sky have announced a new three-year deal with the NFL to provide American Football coverage, which includes the annual Super Bowl showpiece.

Two fixtures will be shown every Sunday evening, kicking off at 6pm and 9.15pm, throughout the regular season, while frequent Thursday night matches and the playoffs will also be broadcast.

Managing director for the NFL UK, Alistair Kirkwood, said: "We are delighted to extend the relationship between the NFL and Sky Sports into its 20th year.

"Through their coverage the game has attracted many new fans in this country, and we look forward to another three seasons of excellent coverage of including the International Series matches at Wembley and the next three Super Bowls."

In total, over 60 games will be shown live, beginning with the season-opening clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants on September 5.
