American popstar Nicole Scherzinger has insisted that she is moving on after splitting up with Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
The couple ended their on/off seven-year relationship back in February, and the sportsman has recently been linked to models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.
In an interview with People, Scherzinger hinted that she put too much "energy" into her relationship and forgot to focus on herself.
"Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent, because it's comfortable for them, because they don't want to be alone," said Scherzinger.
"It's a new chapter in my life. I'm going through a very transformative time in my life. A lot of the time when you're in a relationship, you lose yourself and you lose who you are and what makes you special. You're always putting all your energy on someone else, so find yourself again."
Following the split, rumours emerged claiming that Hamilton decided that he didn't want to get married.
