Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford has reportedly split up with his girlfriend due to his hectic schedule.
The 25-year-old, who won gold in the men's long jump final at London 2012, has made numerous media appearances following his success at the Olympics and it is believed that being in high demand has taken a toll on his relationship.
"This last week has been so bad," Rutherford told the Daily Star. "I won't go into it but it's been a really tough one.
"It's been such a bad day. A bad, bad day. I have had the best summer of my life but this week has been the worst.
"I have hardly seen my girlfriend since I won. That's been the hardest thing. We've gone from seeing each other daily to me being home about seven days since I won almost two months ago. It's hard. That's one thing that no-one could warn you about or prepare you for."
Meanwhile, Rutherford confirmed on his Twitter account that he has recently undergone surgery on his foot.
