The former prostitute who slept with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes that people were never quick to judge him after she revealed their tryst back in 2010.
Helen Wood made headlines four years ago for allegedly having a threesome with Rooney and her friend Jenny Thompson while the England international's wife Coleen was pregnant with their first son Kai.
While Wood, who won Channel 5 reality show Big Brother last week, has admitted that she regrets sleeping with Rooney, the Bolton-born beauty therapist believes that he gets off lightly because of his status as a footballer.
"I'm not saying what I did wasn't wrong – it was," Wood told the Daily Star. "Would I do it again? No. But I wasn't the one who was cheating while married with my wife pregnant, and that's what he did.
"People are never as quick to judge him like they do with me. It's very narrow-minded, but it's standard, I guess. He's a footballer. Obviously a footballer is going to be more of a favourite than someone who's been a prostitute in the past."
Rooney, who was recently named United captain, now has two sons with Coleen - Kai and Klay.
