British number one tennis player Andy Murray broke down in tears while discussing the Dunblane Primary School tragedy.
The Scotsman, who will be competing for the Wimbledon crown this week, was a pupil of the school and in attendance at the time when 16 children and a teacher were killed in 1996.
Murray said in a BBC documentary: "It's something I've never really spoken about since I went on tour, since I began getting asked a lot about it by the press, because it's something that was obviously for all of my family, and the town...
"At the time, you have no idea how tough something like that is. As you start to get older you realise. The thing that is nice now, the whole town, they recovered from it so well. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started to research it and look into it a lot because I didn't really want to know."
Murray will begin his Wimbledon campaign today with a first-round match against Benjamin Becker.
