Football Association minority director Heather Rabbatts has urged chairman Greg Dyke to urgently address the lack of ethnic diversity on his commission looking into the state of English football.
Dyke put together the panel last week, with former Three Lions boss Glenn Hoddle, Danny Mills and Howard Wilkinson among those chosen.
Rabbatts, the FA's only female director from an ethnic minority, believes that she has been left with no choice but to speak out over an all-white panel which fails to account for diversity.
She told The Telegraph: "This is a commission that will report to the board, is appointed by the board. If you're going to have that process then the board should be consulted.
"I know that from the calls I have been receiving people are feeling let down and upset and, from my perspective, it is crucial that this commission, if it is to have credibility, addresses this as an urgent priority.
"You've got a whole bunch of people saying, 'Why didn't Rabbatts say anything?' She's this person who talks about issues of racial abuse on the field of play, she talks about anti-discrimination'. In the end, you think, 'I can't not say anything'."
Dyke has put together the commission with a remit to investigate how English football can improve, while helping the FA to develop a long-term strategy moving forward.
