Cruise company Royal Caribbean 'against David Beckham's stadium plans in Miami'

Cruise company Royal Caribbean are reportedly opposed to David Beckham building a football stadium near to their headquarters in Miami.

Cruise line Royal Caribbean have reportedly expressed their "reservations" about David Beckham building a football stadium in Miami close to the company's headquarters.

The retired player is said to be considering a ground for his new Major League Soccer franchise near PortMiami, which is close to Royal Caribbean's base.

According to the Miami Herald, they revealed that they plan to table an official objection as it could force them to move sections of their headquarters to make room for the stadium.

Royal Caribbean vice president and chief communications officer Rob Zeiger is quoted as saying: "We have deep reservations about using this port as a location for a stadium."

It is believed that the company fear that they would have to move their car park, employee gym and daycare centre for Beckham's stadium.
