Great Britain's Olympic and Paralympic stars and the European Ryder Cup team are nominated by the world's media for honours at the Laureus World Sports Awards.

The world's media have selected a handful of Great Britain's Olympic and Paralympic heroes for the 2013 Laureus World Sports Awards.

Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, Bradley Wiggins and Andy Murray have been nominated for the honour following their successful year, while Paralympic wheelchair racer David Weir has also been placed on the list due to his gold medal haul at London 2012.

Meanwhile, the likes of Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell, Ian Poulter and the remainder of the European Ryder Cup team have been nominated for the Laureus World Team of the Year and the World Comeback of the Year award following their triumph over the USA in Chicago earlier this year.

The winners will be unveiled at a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro on March 11.
