Graffiti mocking disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong appears on a street in Los Angeles, California.

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has been the inspiration behind a new piece of street art in Los Angeles.

A stencil-based graffiti appeared on a street in California depicting Armstrong on a bike wearing a Tour de France yellow jersey with an intravenous drip connected to him.

While the art looked similar to the previous work of Banksy, it is understood that it is not his design but is instead a creation from LA-based street artist Plastic Jesus, according to the Daily Mail.

The 41-year-old cyclist admitted earlier this month in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he took performance-enhancing drugs throughout his successful career.
