Newcastle United 'put pictures of Sir Bobby Robson's team into a skip'

Pictures of Sir Bobby Robson's 2001-02 Newcastle United team are reportedly chucked into a skip by the Premier League club.

Newcastle United have reportedly thrown away pictures of Sir Bobby Robson's 2001-02 team by dumping them in a skip.

Local publication The Chronicle has revealed that around 30 framed photographs were found in a skip close to St James' Park, along with building materials and grass cuttings.

One picture shows Robson, who passed away in 2009, sitting with his players Alan Shearer and Gary Speed around him during a squad photo.

It is believed that the pictures were thrown out from the walls of the club's corporate boxes and replaced with more recent images of the current squad.

Robson managed Newcastle from 1994 to 2004.
