Ed Reed has $50k in cash stolen from car

New York Jets safety Ed Reed has $50,000 stolen from the passenger seat of his car shortly after withdrawing it from a bank in Houston.

Ed Reed has reported the theft of $50,000 (£29,900) in cash from his car to police in Houston.

The New York Jets safety said that the money was taken from the passenger seat of his car after he withdrew it from a bank in the city on Wednesday.

According to ESPN, police believe that the 35-year-old was followed from the bank before thieves smashed the window to his Audi and took the money.

Officers have confirmed that their investigation into the incident is ongoing.
