Wales manager Ryan Giggs adds his voice to the outpouring of tributes for Sir Alex Ferguson as the Scot's recovery from brain surgery continues.

Wales head coach Ryan Giggs has added his voice to the outpouring of tributes for Sir Alex Ferguson in wake of the ex-Manchester United manager's emergency brain surgery.

The Scot remains in intensive care following a life-saving operation for a brain haemorrhage and Giggs, who won 13 Premier League titles under his guidance, has revealed that he is "praying" for his former boss.

"Now is the time to pray and hope he can make a full recovery," the Welshman told BBC Sport.

"He has been the biggest influence in my career, both on and off the pitch.

"I know the operation has been a success - but he is a fighter and that is what makes me think that he will be able to make a recovery."

The latest reports suggest that Ferguson is conscious and talking to his family as his recovery continues.
