Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney dedicates his winning goal at West Ham United to his late sister-in-law Rosie McLoughlin.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney paid tribute to his late sister-in-law Rosie McLoughlin after scoring the winner against West Ham United last night.

The 27-year-old, who returned to action against the Hammers after being sidelined with a knee injury since Christmas Day, netted the only goal in the FA Cup third-round replay at Old Trafford.

After giving United the advantage in the ninth minute, Rooney lifted his arms and looked to the sky in memory of his wife Coleen's sister, who passed away at the age of 14 with Rett syndrome.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is also thought to have paid tribute to Rosie by wearing a black armband during his side's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
