The 'suspect package' which forced Manchester United's Premier League clash with Bournemouth to be abandoned "was a phone attached to a pipe with wires hanging from it", according to Stan Collymore.

The 'suspect package' which forced Manchester United's Premier League clash with Bournemouth to be abandoned "was a phone attached to a pipe with wires hanging from it", according to Stan Collymore.

Collymore, a former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker, now works for talkSPORT and has claimed on Twitter that he has received information from an employee at Old Trafford.

It is understood that the mobile phone device was connected to a pipe inside a toilet at Old Trafford.

"Package was a phone attached to pipe with wires hanging from it. Found by customer in toilet," Collymore tweeted.

The bomb squad has arrived at the stadium, where a 'controlled explosion' will reportedly take place.
