Real Madrid have been named the most valuable football team ahead of Premier League giants Manchester United by Forbes.
An analysis has revealed that the Spanish club are valued at £2.15bn, while the Red Devils sit behind with a £2.07bn worth.
"Real Madrid have been consistently delivering the highest revenues of any team in the world, despite an intense economic meltdown in Spain," The Sun quotes a Forbes spokesman as saying.
"With superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and coach Jose Mourinho they have thrived. According to this year's valuations, the top 20 teams are worth an average of £634m — an increase of 26% over last year."
Barcelona were third in the list, while Bayern Munich have been recorded in fifth.
