Manchester United catering staff member 'arrested after cash went mising'

A Manchester United catering staff member is reportedly arrested for allegedly stealing more than £400 from a till at Old Trafford.

A member of Manchester United's catering staff was reportedly arrested after money went missing from a till at Old Trafford.

The incident is believed to have occurred after United secured a 3-1 victory over Leicester City last weekend.

According to the Daily Mail, after one of the cash registers in the kiosk came up short, staff were searched and one young female was found in possession of more than £400 in cash.

A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 5pm on Saturday, January 31, 2015, police were called to a food kiosk at Old Trafford football ground following reports that more than £400 had been stolen from the till. Officers attended and arrested a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of theft."

The suspect has been bailed until February 6.
