Manchester United fan group plan Cristiano Ronaldo 'come home' plane banner

A Manchester United supporters' group plan to fly a banner calling for Cristiano Ronaldo to 'come home' during the Real Madrid star's next match.

A Manchester United supporters' group have revealed that they plan to lure Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club by flying a banner during the Real Madrid star's next match.

Recent rumours have surfaced claiming that the Portugal captain is open to returning to Old Trafford following his exit back in 2009.

In a bid to push the move through, supporters group United Reel have called for donations to send a banner reading 'Come Home Ronaldo' across the Estadio El Madrigal when Madrid take on Villarreal on Saturday.

In a statement released on United Reel's Twitter page, the group said: "We are all united by our love for Cristiano both as a player and as a person. We stand united in our views and will not stop until we BRING RONALDO HOME!"

The supporters have received backing from fellow fan groups, including MUSC United Arab Emirates, MUSC Lebanon and MUSC Egypt.
