Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs picked up the Legend of Football award last night at the HMV Football Extravaganza.
The event, which raises money for the Nordoff Robbins charity, honoured Giggs, who has followed United legends Eric Cantona, Denis Law and former manager Sir Alex Ferguson in receiving the award.
Prior to the event, Giggs said: "It's an honour and privilege to be presented with the Legend of Football Award, particularly when I look back at the list of previous winners.
"I am looking forward to the event, celebrating with friends and colleagues and raising money for Nordoff Robbins, which is a really incredible cause."
Giggs retired from professional football last year and was appointed assistant boss to United manager Louis van Gaal.
