Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has taken a break from tackling the Premier League to learn about the success of British cycling.
The Italian coach, who regularly cycles to the club's Carrington training ground, visited the Manchester Velodrome to speak to performance director Dave Brailsford, who has helped produce the likes of Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins.
"Every time I watch the Tour de France on the television I say this is very difficult because only one gets the glory but the other 10 are part of the team but don't get the yellow jersey," the Daily Mail quotes Mancini as saying. "To manage that is not easy."
Meanwhile, Olympic gold-medal winner Wiggins, who is a Liverpool fan, is believed to have stayed around after training to meet the Italian boss but the 32-year-old gave up waiting after Mancini turned up late.
