Manchester City announce sponsorship deal with Japanese car manufacturer Nissan

Manchester City announce that they have sealed a five-year sponsorship deal with Japanese car manufacturers Nissan.

Manchester City have confirmed that Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has become the club's new sponsor on a five-year deal.

The company's name is now associated with the Premier League champions, as well as New York City, Melbourne City and Yokohama F Marinos.

Chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak told the club's official website: "We are delighted to be working with Nissan as CFG's first group-wide global partner. Nissan is a leader in innovation and sustainability; values which are also at the heart of our own organisation.

"Through our investment in, and support of, the Yokohama F Marinos it has become very clear that Nissan and CFG also share a common passion and ambition for further growth and development.

"As a result, this new partnership presents us both with incredibly exciting opportunities to collaborate through football both in Japan and across the world."

City sealed their second league title in three seasons in May, finishing two points above Liverpool.
