Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard makes a 25ft putt during a charity golf day in Portugal.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has displayed his golf skills by sinking a 25ft putt during a charity event in Portugal.

The 35-year-old, who ended his 17-year senior Liverpool career last month, was hosting the golf day aiming to raise money for the Steven Gerrard Foundation.

During a round, cameras captured the midfielder making a putt from 25 feet, and to express his delight, Gerrard shouted: "Get that on LFCTV live and BT Sport."

The former England international, who will join MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy next month, uploaded the video to his official Instagram page.

Cheeky little 25ft putt . Sorry about the weight 😁👌⛳️
