Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has come out on top in a celebrity Call of Duty tournament.
The England international took on the video game in London yesterday to mark the release of the latest installment of the series.
The striker's international teammate Andros Townsend also competed, as did England rugby player Tom Croft, magician Dynamo and rapper Wretch 32, but none of them did enough to challenge Sturridge.
Fans of the video game teamed up with the celebrities by telling their captain why they should be picked as part of the squad.
"I had nothing to do with that win, to be honest," The Mirror quotes Sturridge as saying. "I was at the bottom of the team the whole way. The team won the game, so fair play."
Sturridge won the final 13-11 against the game developers' senior community manager Tina Palacios.
