Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho turns house painter for local charity

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho volunteers to help restore a house in Bootle as part of a charitable cause.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho recently put his commitments on the pitch to one side to volunteer as a house painter for a local charity.

The Frenchman helped restore a home in Bootle after teaming up with two charitable organisations - An Hour For Others and Progressive Lifestyle Solutions.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old contacted the charities personally after coming across them online and offered to volunteer for a few hours this week.

Sakho, who signed for the Reds from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, also handed over a signed shirt to be auctioned off to raise funds.
