A teenage Rochdale footballer is reportedly in trouble with the club after allegedly posting a disturbing message online about the three-year-old daughter of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

The youth player at Spotland is believed to have commented on an Instagram picture that Gerrard posted of himself with his little girl Lourdes.

According to the Daily Star, the club could issue the youngster with a suspension or fine after he posted the message: "I'd bang your girl Stevie".

It is believed that the police were contacted about the remark, but no investigation can be done unless Gerrard himself makes a complaint.

The comment has since been removed from the social networking website.
