Baseball player Brendan Rodgers has been forced to clarify his identity after he was inundated with tweets about the recently-sacked Liverpool manager.
Northern Irish football coach Rodgers was fired by the Premier League club three hours after Liverpool's 1-1 draw against Everton on Sunday.
Following the news, thousands of Liverpool fans took to social media to give their opinion on the sacking, and 19-year-old Colorado Rockies shortstop Rodgers received most of the messages.
After getting frustrated with the case of mistaken identity, the Florida-born sportsman tweeted: "I'M NOT THE LIVER POOL MANAGER."
Meanwhile, Liverpool are expected to hold talks with former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp about the manager's vacancy this week.
