Manu Tuilagi to send written apology to David Cameron

Leicester Tigers confirm that Manu Tuilagi will send a written apology to Prime Minister David Cameron for playing a prank during a Downing Street photocall.

Leicester Tigers have confirmed that Manu Tuilagi will send a written apology to British Prime Minister David Cameron for playing a prank during a Downing Street photocall.

The 22-year-old made a 'bunny ears' gesture behind Cameron as the British and Irish Lions were honoured at Number 10 for their 2-1 series win over Australia this summer.

Despite tweeting on Monday night to say that he is sorry, the England centre will now write to Cameron at the request of Leicester.

Brian Moore and Matt Dawson were among a number of former players to express their disappointment in Tuilagi after the incident.
