Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins has revealed that she needed to end rumours of an alleged affair with David Beckham because she did not want to be perceived as a home-wrecker.
The 32-year-old was accused of sleeping with the Los Angeles Galaxy star, despite the ex-England captain being married to former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham.
Following the reports, Jenkins took to Twitter to refute the accusations and claimed that she had never been alone with the footballer.
"I didn't want people to think I would date a married man," the Daily Mail quotes Jenkins as saying. "I wouldn't want anyone to think I would do that to another woman. I wanted to put it right. It couldn't have been more wrong. I couldn't have people thinking such things of me."
Beckham and his wife have four children together.
