Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has reportedly been learning photography by purchasing "how-to books" in the hopes of perfecting his new hobby.

The former England international is believed to have "spent thousands" on equipment and has been learning the new skill by taking lessons.

The Daily Star quotes a source as saying: "Since David took some photography lessons, he never puts his camera down. He's bought himself how-to books and spends hours trying to perfect shots.

"He thinks he's David Bailey now he's had a few lessons. He takes pictures of everything – birds in his back garden, flowers, the sky, his kids playing football. He's spent thousands. His camera equipment is better than some professionals'."

Meanwhile, earlier this week the 37-year-old was spotted in just a pair of underpants by a bus-load of tourists in LA.
