Inverness Caledonian Thistle publish seven-year-old's manager application letter

A seven-year-old boy named Ewen writes a letter to Scottish Premiership club Inverness Caledonian Thistle to apply for the team manager's job.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have published a seven-year-old boy's letter to the club applying for the vacant manager's job.

The handwritten application follows the departure of John Hughes from the Scottish Premiership club earlier this month.

Writing to chairman Kenny Cameron, Ewen lists his credentials as having attended several football courses for young people and playing for his school's team.

Ewen says that he can speak to his headmaster to "see if he would be up for me leaving school early for important matches" and believes that "it won't be a problem as long as the players chip in and help me with my homework."

Caley finished seventh in the Scottish top flight this season.
