Everton's first-team stars, as well as manager Roberto Martinez, have indulged in some festive cheer by telling each other Christmas jokes.

Leighton Baines, Ross Barkley, Phil Jagielka and Steven Naismith were among those who tried to get their teammates laughing, but largely failed to impress.

Romelu Lukaku and Sylvain Distin also took part while wearing Christmas jumpers, but the Belgian struggled to grasp one of the punchlines.
