Everton have given their supporters the control of deciding what their new club crest should look like.

The Merseyside outfit are said to have today begun consulting with the fans, who can give their thoughts on potential designs via an online questionnaire.

"I know the fans have been awaiting details of the process to choose the new crest and from listening to them it is clear that they have many ideas on what they want," the Liverpool Echo quotes director of communications Alan Myers as saying.

"We will consult with all Evertonians and the crest will be the fans' choice."

The final design will be chosen for the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
