John Arne Riise awarded 'Fittest Player of the Match' gong

John Arne Riise is settling well at Delhi Dynamos, having been crowned Hero of the Match and Fittest Player of the Match in successive weeks.

Energetic full-back John Arne Riise landed an award for being the Fittest Player of the Match during his latest Indian Super League outing.

The Delhi Dynamos star, who spent seven years at Anfield with Liverpool, was also given 25,000 rupees as part of the accolade - around just £250 at the current rate of exchange.

Riise is certainly no stranger to receiving unconventional awards during his time in India, as he was also crowned the Hero of the Match last week after his side saw off Marco Materazzi's Chennaiyin FC.

Dynamos, who are currently third in the league table after a positive start to the campaign, also boast Florent Malouda and player-manager Roberto Carlos among their ranks.
