Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel allegedly assaulted a female journalist who asked him for an interview while on international duty with Nigeria.
The incident is alleged to have occurred when a KISS FM reporter approached him in Ajuba while he was leaving a training session with his Nigerian teammates.
According to BBC broadcaster Oluwashina Okeleji, Mikel lashed out when the female journalist tried to ask the midfielder to take part in an interview.
Okeleji also revealed that the reporter has since forgiven Mikel for his actions.
